Essential Learning Targets:

Evangel College requires every subject committee to identify and spell out the essential learning targets for every key stage. The major categories of essential learning targets include core subject knowledge, skills and strategies of reading, writing, speaking, listening, inquiry learning (in science, humanity, and math studies), thinking (critical thinking, creative thinking, system thinking, problem solving, decision making), and independent studies.

Adoption of Curriculum Materials:

Evangel College requires every subject committee to adopt and/or develop target-oriented and psychologically appropriate curriculum materials. By “target-oriented”, it means proper use of the curriculum materials fosters students master the essential learning targets. By “psychologically appropriate”, it means the curriculum materials are preferably at the level which most students are just able to cope with; create room for exploration by students; and relate to student life.
